CPI Print Agreement
Please Take your time to read through our terms. This agreement is automatically applied when down payment is made.
Down payment- Print production starts with a down payment of 50% or more, after invoice and artwork approval. This down payment is non-refundable only creditable.. Depositing on your order implies you have agreed to the final invoice & approved all line items. Applies to customers with supplied garments and ordered garments.
Embroidery- Digitizing your art is a one time fee to make your artwork embroidery ready. When your art is digitized it is able to be resized only by a few percent. Embroidery thread colors will be selected from our available colors. Small flaws may occur in embroidered designs from print to print. If your design consists of small details and text, details may be lost or not embroider super clean and clear. We suggest simplifying your design for embroidery. We are not responsible for sewing results on customer supplied DST files.
Screen Printing- Screen printing is a manual and hands on printing process. Quality control is a main factor in print production, inconsistencies are fixed when found during production. While every attempt is made to keep all prints consistant, small flaws may occur from print to print. Such as artwork color alignment where layers can shift a few millimeters. Pin holes occur when something small such as material fuzzies get stuck on the artwork that is printing on the press or when ink pushes through the screen in random places. These are normally caught right away and washed off of the garment. Normally on larger garments, off center prints can occur. Usually only noticeable when measuring with a ruler and not noticeable when it is being worn. Some prints may receive more or less of a deposit of ink than others. This can cause the print to look a shade darker or cause the garment color to show through the print. When a ink deposit is lighter it will be a softer hand print, when held up to the light you may be able to see through the ink, when worn you cannot see through the print. When printing on materials such as blends and polyester the ink color printed may mix with pigment in the garment. While every attempt is made to minimize this from happening it has to do with how the garment was dyed and fabricated. When printing over zippers, understand that that there are print inconsistencies due to the zipper. Adhesive spray is used during printing and we recommend a wash before use. We do not print and will not be responsible for printing any copyright material in your order.
Your print colors will be selected from our available colors. Ink colors used will be listed on your invoice. Custom mixed PMS ink colors are available at an extra cost (connect with your sales rep for more details)
Your artwork is printed using one of the following techniques. Your designer and or sales rep will specify which will be used. If not specified, Please be sure to ask. If you have questions or concerns regarding any print technique please contact your sales rep
- Spot color printing
- The most common form of printing, spot color printing uses a full-tone of color to create an image. Each color in the image is printed separately on its own screen, affecting the cost, but up to 12 spot colors on one location can be printed.
- Grayscale Printing
- An inexpensive way to make a photograph or other multi color image into apparel. A grayscale of the image is created using full and half tones of black. Then the image can be printed in that "grayscale" version on a garment in any print color you choose.
- 4 color CMYK process printing
- When printing a full color image or photograph that involves many colors and many gradients or shades of colors, process prints are used. The 4-Color CMYK process uses the basic colors Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black to create the image, much like an inkjet printer.
- Simulated Processes Printing
- When printing a full color logo with many shades and tones of colors and a more vibrant, sharp print is desired, a simulated process is used. Unlike the 4-Color CMYK process, Sim-Process prints use a combination of spot colors and half tones to create all the colors in the image.
- Distressed Printing
- In order to achieve a cracked, worn-in, eroded look, artists utilize filters prior to printing to remove parts of the images in a way to give it that vintage look.
